📜Pilgrim's Credential - Passport of Faith and Walking

🕊️ “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with my eye.” (Psalm 32:8)

📜 The Pilgrim's Credential

The Pilgrim's Credential is one of the most important symbols of the experience on the Caminho da Fé. It functions as a true spiritual and logistical passport, officially identifying the pilgrim along the route to the National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Aparecida.

✨ Meaning and Function

More than a document, the credential represents the commitment to the journey, marked by faith, effort and simplicity. With it, the pilgrim:

* Records your passage through each city and support point on the Way using stamps (the famous pilgrim stamps);

* Easy access to accredited accommodation and guesthouses;

* Receive guidance and support;

* Guarantees the right to request the Certificate of Completion at the end of the route, if you have walked at least 100 km to Aparecida.

🛤️ How to Use

During the pilgrimage, the pilgrim must present the credential at support points, churches, accommodations and restaurants, where they will receive a stamp that marks their passage through that place. These records become unforgettable memories and concrete proof of the journey.

Furthermore, the credential allows the pilgrim to be identified and welcomed with respect and hospitality, creating an atmosphere of fraternity between walkers and residents of the cities along the route.

It is recommended that the pilgrim obtains it before starting the walk, ensuring a more organized and spiritualized journey.

🛤️ How to Get the Credential

The Credential can be obtained directly by registering with the Associação dos Amigos do Caminho da Fé, the entity responsible for the legal and institutional maintenance of the route. It guarantees the operational structure, the protection of the "Caminho da Fé" brand — officially registered — and the strategic planning necessary so that more and more pilgrims can make this crossing with safety, faith and hope.
